COSON General Manager/C.E.O Mr Chinedu Chukwuji was a panelist at the Beat FM Music Conference, held at the Landmark Event Centre, Oniru, Lagos.
Mr Chinedu Chukwuji while speaking noted that for money to be made from the music industry in Nigeria, music stakeholders have to understand what right they own by law. He further went on to explain the various revenue streams available to independent artistes, endorsement opportunities and the subject of public performance.
The General manager also took time to explain the duties of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) while encouraging Nigerian artistes to join the collective management organisation to earn royalties from the exploitation of their works.

The music conference which was part of the activities lined up for the #socialmediaweeklagos2017 saw several other personalities who were on the panel, such as Lanre Masha, Creative Manager, Trace Urban; Ibukun Abidoye, General Manager, Choc City Group; and Michael Ugwu, General Manager, Sony Music West Africa speak on the theme 'Digital Distribution: Beats to bucks - making money with your music'.
